A national primary-care data platform for antimicrobial resistance
Pull data out of many GP systems and turn it into benchmarking dashboards.
The challenge
Researchers and GPs needed comparable, privacy-safe data on antibiotic use and resistance — locked inside many different practice-management systems.
What we did
We built the platform end-to-end: a client-side extraction tool that pulls and uploads GP data securely, an ETL and analytics pipeline (3M+ records modelled), REST APIs and interactive benchmarking dashboards — delivered by an embedded squad, including security testing.
The AI work
The shipped system is rigorous data engineering — governed ETL plus modelled analytics. We also designed the AI/NLP roadmap for the next phase: multi-format clinical-data parsing (HL7/FHIR, SNOMED), knowledge graphs and predictive population-health trends.
Outcome
Practices can benchmark themselves against peers on antibiotic use and resistance, on live dashboards backed by millions of records.
